Introduction

The signup form is extremely flexible in SUMAC®, giving you the chance to create precisely the form you need to gather exactly the right data from your members. In this article we’ll look at the available types and possible uses.

Available types of field

Information text - can be used for showing T&Cs etc.

Text - input field to gather non-matching data. Can be multiple lines.

Date picker - can gather dates for non-matching purposes.

Dropdown - dropdown field that can be used in matching.

Multiple choice - multiple choice dropdown field that can be used in matching.

Preference - preference field that is linked to a dropdown field, or a multiple choice field.

The icons are also visible on the scheme form designer so that you can quickly tell at a glance how the form is configured.

Key points

👍 Don't overpopulate the form with too many fields of the same kind - it's confusing for users

👍 Make sure that the form reads well - fields should add benefit to the form, rather than being added to flesh it out

👍 Check out the follow up article on how to add the fields to your form 👍
